Terms of Use

Last updated: October 28, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ETH Backtesting (the "Service"), a free, browser-based tool for backtesting trading entry/exit rules against historical ETHUSDT market data. By using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. What the Service is

The Service lets you define or auto-search trading rules and evaluate how they would have performed on historical price data. All computation runs locally in your browser; historical market data is fetched from a backend API over a read-only connection. The Service does not place, route, or execute any real trades, and it is not a brokerage, exchange, or investment platform.

2. No financial advice

Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice, and nothing is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any asset. See the Disclaimer for details on the limits of backtested results.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

4. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, completeness, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Historical data, indicator calculations, and simulated results may contain errors, gaps, or delays, and the Service may be unavailable or change at any time without notice.

5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator of the Service is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or other damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including any trading or investment decisions you make based on information obtained from it.

6. Intellectual property

The Service's source code is available in its public repository under the license stated there. Market data displayed in the Service belongs to its respective providers and is used under a read-only, informational arrangement.

7. Changes

These Terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a change is posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

8. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be raised via the project's GitHub repository.
